North Carolina Technology in Education Society
Raleigh, NC - 2023 & 2024
For two consecutive years, I've been captivated by the North Carolina Technology in Education Society conference (NCTIES), where I've both shared insights on enhancing teacher retention and demystified AI's role in the classroom, equipping educators with practical resources. Immersing myself in the vibrant community at the North Carolina Technology in Education Society (NCTIES) conference for the past two years has been nothing short of exhilarating. In my inaugural year, I had the privilege of contributing to a panel discussion titled 'Attracting the Next Generation of Educators: Lessons Learned from an Undergraduate Intern Program,' where I collaborated with school leaders to brainstorm innovative strategies for bolstering teacher retention. This experience ignited my passion for driving positive change within education. Building on that momentum, this year, I took the reins and led my own working session titled 'What the Heck is AI and how do I use it.' With a packed room of 100 enthusiastic attendees, we delved into the realm of artificial intelligence, demystifying its complexities and exploring its practical applications in the classroom. To ensure that everyone left equipped and inspired, each participant received a comprehensive AI in the classroom resource guide, empowering them to integrate cutting-edge technology seamlessly into their teaching practices. NCTIES has not only provided me with invaluable opportunities to share my expertise but has also fueled my commitment to advancing education through innovation and collaboration.
